We're getting so close!

Hey y'all - Once again, I'm a little bit behind in updating pictures but the house is coming along like crazy! We can't wait for you to see it!

Michele and "Orville" have moved in and are getting as settled as possible before we move again!Grandpa and Grandma Farmer were down visiting last week. We took them and Travis's uncle Mike over to see the house and they seemed to really like it. We also went to the Southlake football game as Bailey is in her senior year of cheerleading, even though she'll go on to cheer elsewhere! However, everybody knows that the only reason we go to the game is to see Jason Witten! :) HAHA!

Kathy is here for a couple days this week for a work conference but it's been great getting to see her. We took her to see the house, had lunch, and spent just a few hours shopping in the short time we were here. Of course, you can't go shopping without coupons so whenever she comes down, we go a little bit crazy. As I tell Travis, I only spent $50 but I saved $100 :) Yeah right!

Anyway, enjoy the following pictures of the house and we'll talk soon!

Other half of the master bath countertop

Sorry for the delay!

Alright friends...I know I'm a little behind on the blog but we've been extremely busy with work and a little bit of play. Travis and I went home last week to spend time with family and friends. We celebrated my dad's 50th birthday at the K-State vs. KU football game with our ENTIRE family present. We also took family pictures for the first time in MANY, MANY years. They turned out great and a HUGE thank you to Dave's dad and mom for taking the photos. It was an amazing time and went all to fast as usual.

In the meantime, we also found out that Michele has accepted a job with Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD here in Fort Worth and we will be having not one, but TWO roomates starting THIS TUESDAY!! Michele and Oliver (her cat) will be moving down to live with us as she ventures out into the real world! Thanks for the one week notice, sis! :) It's been a while since I've posted pictures of the house as we have been crazy busy. Hopefully less than 30 days and we'll be moved in to our new place. Over the last two weeks, our contractors have been busy starting the interior of the home. The house is now sheetrocked and textured, and the custom cabinets have already been installed and stained on site. As you can see, the driveway and our extended back patio have been set up and are ready to be poured. They should be painting this next week and the countertops should be installed as well. That leaves (for big items) the flooring and exterior landscaping to be done! I'll try to keep y'all posted as we move forward.
At least our guys have fun while they're working

Exterior complete...minus a little cleaning up!

Well, the exterior is all done minus a little cleaning up. Overall, we are extremely happy with the way it turned out and want to thank my superintendent at work, Billie, for designing the home for us! He definitely has a talent that probably many of us do not and we can't thank him enough for everything he's done for us! We can't wait to hear what you think so give us a call or shoot us a text! :)

Our favorite part is almost complete!

Well, the brick and stone is in progress and so far, we are LOVING the outcome...the house looks amazing! :) Send us some feedback and let us know what you think so far!

All you gotta do is put a drink in my hand!

Last night I went to the Eric Church concert in Dallas with a friend that I went to school with at K-State. He was here for his Blood, Sweat, and Beers tour with Justin Moore and Kip Moore - it was AMAZING to say the least!! This was the only thing Lacey wanted to do for her birthday and she asked me to join her. We all know how much I love going to concerts so of course I couldn't decline - what's better than good company and country music!!

Hold is lifted...windows are in!!

Yippee...I'm glad to announce that the windows have all been installed and we should be moving forward (without interruption, hopefully) shortly! They have also installed the Taexx built in pest control system and completed the termite treatment on the house. The next step will be insulating along with the exterior brick and stone. We are SOOOO excited for this step - it's probably our favorite part! We, along with my superintendent at work, designed the exterior of the home but haven't actually seen it on a house so we're a little bit nervous! :) I'll keep y'all up to date as we know more!

Sit tight everybody...we're on hold!

Well, after a couple weeks with no update, I think it's time for another. They got in the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system but not a lot otherwise has happened over the last couple weeks. We've had a delay getting in the windows for the house as the housing industry down here is booming right now. That's twofold though: good for us because I'm selling houses like crazy and payin' bills but bad for us because we're ready to move! It sounds as if they'll be coming in on Friday so once those are in, we can move forward with bricking the home and sheetrocking, etc...I'll keep y'all posted as I know everybody is as anxious as we are!
